what colour's yours???

A guy at work told me to red oxide it and then paint in chassis black, since my chassis has some paint left he said the red oxide will cover both??? is this the case??? will it cover both metal and paint and be alright? :(bloodshot):

Yes red oxide will cover both paint (as long as it is not cellulose based) and Metal just make sure there is no muck or Cellulose based paint on it or it will React and give air bubbles in the red oxide
A mate restored a Commer Q4 Truck and sprayed Red oxide on to the chassis and body after cleaning all the muck off and the paint on the chassis in sections was cellulose based paint and it created air bubbles and one burst and caught fire ruined the whole paint job (it is a Leathal Weapon if you spray red oxide in to an old tin of celulose thinners :lol: :lol: )

red oxide is top stuff, but not as good as the old stuff that had lead in it.

I have no idea what sort of paint was on it...its black with mud attached at the mo...
