but the first album was, bonjovi-new jersey, meatloaf-deadringer, and transvision vamp-velvatine.

The first music that struck me (after emerging from the family taste of The Beatles) was Electro and Breakdance.
My first record was Newcleus - Jam On It on 12"
It must have been about 1981
Its still a great record and gets a listen every know and then

I think the first 'proper' single I bought was 'Queen Of Hearts', or possibly 'Crawlin From The Wreckage'.
