what a difference a little knowledge has. i have just been to see a landy found on e blag, thanks to all of you who helped i could tell it was a dog. smoke coming from every were, oil and fluids all over the place , doors gone, squeeks and groans from where there should be none. so thanks again for all your help and i hope i find one soon in better shape. :oops:

and £3000 for a TD (I presume you mean 19J) is Wayyy overpriced, I got an F Reg 19J 110 for £1800 and it needs very very little other than a good clean up.

Also, don't let these lot drag you away from the TDs towards the TDis, if well looked after the TD is a cracking engine, cheaper to repair than a TDi, and will leave you more money for mods ;)

What do you mean it was a dog?, i thought all landys were like that :D
