I was amazed to find the Austin Ambassador I sold with a custom fabricated engine mount (more of a bodge to get it traded in for a Shiny Maestro) actually soldiered on for three years after I had finished with it.

Drove for three years before I discovered that the boot floor was not a boot floor but a big piece of galved plate stuck down with poly filler.

Then became my first jaunt at fixing up a car
