FIRST CAR YOU DID A TON IN ?

Me ole mans Hilman minx way back in the 70s through a place called Beverley Westwood in Beverley E/Yorkshire with all me mates in . . . . . as you do . . . . . . had to slow as the minx started to sound funny. . . .  then realised that the breaks wern't quite up to the job in them days . . . . . . ah well . . . . alls well that ends well. . . . . . Cheers. . . .

Whilst passenger; 3.0 V6  Mk 1 Capri

Driving on private ground; 130+ (TVR Griffith)
Passenger on private ground; 165mph, in the wet :(scared):  (TVR Sagaris)

On 2 wheels; 130'-ish' pillion on a CBR600
On (unpowered) 2-wheels; 60mph* down East Chevin at Otley, & a similar speed down Holme-Moss :(scared):  :(bigshock):

Not the places to have a car pull out in front of you, but overaking them was fun:(biggrin):
Very accurate speedometers on bikes, if set up correctly, perhaps a discrepancy of less than a foot per mile?? (hence a similar accuracy for speed measurement)

Surely that was in KMH M'lud ?

It too expired before I got it home, one of the push rods bounced out and I got to do my first head removal.

Sold it to my dad to pay for driving lessons and he wrote it off a week later.
