First Cars??
« on: June 22, 2006, 21:14:20 »
OK so I had a conversation today about what our First car was after passing our test..
So wondered what every ones first legal car was?
Mine was a Blue 1976 Mini 850 van.. did 68 flat out, had Datsun 120Y front seats and a wooden dash...

Talbot Sunbeam 1.6S.

You could throw it sideways into a corner and change your mind halfway through and chuck it in another direction.

clapped out old nova merit saloon.
eventualy part-ex'ed it in against a corsa - got £100 on the part ex spoke to the garage a few weeks later and the guy who agreed part-ex cost got seriously told off.
They had put the nova into auction and got one bid ..... a tenner
Cost them more to collect the car (had to be trailered away as brakes had seased)and they lost out on auction fee as well - all in all to tune of about £250 not inc the price they gave us for it
