Hucknall Air show

(1/2) > >>

hobbit:
Just one pic my friend took while this show was on, its at the now Rolls Royce owned Hucknall Aerodrome, in Nottingham, used as their main testing centre, it was celebrating 90 years of the airfield.

Its very unusual for the airfield to be used with an airshow nowadays, but I wish they had opened it over 2 days as you had the time to view round the facilities and testing areas as well

There were a number of aircraft there, including the company Spitfire, a Hurricane, and a Mustang, various other bi-planes, acrobatic aircraft and historical crafts, not the biggest show on the calender, but the good thing is I live 10 minutes walking distance to the place, so you get some interesting visitors

Had a nice flying visit from one of the Battle of Britain flight Spitfires, and a Hawker Hunter

I think this picture is the best I've seen for a while

Bush Tucker Man:

What a super picture!
 :D
I have a picture of flags and planes as my desktop back ground at the moment
Not quite as lovely as the one of the Spitfire but on a similer note
Taken from my back garden.

If I'd have known that was going to be there I'd have gone

I did spot it earlier today though whilst shopping in Doncaster, it was either on it's way home or it has a very wide turning circle.

I wondered where it had been (it was about 4pm ish).

discomummy:
Hah,

That explains the two aircraft i saw going over grandma's house, i wondered what they were and what it was about

Regards
