Child car seat legislation!!
blackbob:
think it in a child seat if avalable so if you got it you got to use it
been searching the web and it said height 140cm must use a child seat where avalible
Karen696:
--- Quote ---normal seat belts can be fatal to children who are not tall enough, use a booster seat.
--- End quote ---
So are they gonna legislate and make my 'vertically challenged' father in law sit in a kiddie seat?
There are so many idiots who don't belt their children in now - the police can't or won't enforce the current legislation - why does anyone think another law will make them buy and use a booster seat as well?
On the subject of safety, drivers air bags can be fatal to shorter drivers who have to sit nearer the wheel (in my experience Fords are particularly bad in this respect) but they don't give you an option to disarm them.
beast5680:
is the muppets like i saw today that need educating, letting their kids stand between the seats and the mother sitting in the back bouncing the baby on her lap  this while we are crawling in traffic past a very bad accident on the M25 where a disco had gone over the central barrier
mark.yellow.series.3:
kids running about in the back of cars with no belt on really gets my goat :x

It's those people who already ignore the seat belt laws in place now,
who will continue to
do so, regardless of changes to it
