just a quick thank you to all of you that have helped sam and my self regarding problems with our disco so far you have always manageg to come up with an answer to our problems. can i aks another question? how do you check if the diff lock is working on the car as the light does not work on the dash and i am not sure if it is engaged. i seem to rember an a link regarding testing the system by engageing the diff llock and then jacking one of the wheels up from then on i dont know ... any idears many thnks

engage ya diff by pushing it forwards and all the way to the left ...
then jack up one of your wheels, and u shouldnt be able to turn the wheel very much less then a 1/4  turn.

 if the wheel spins freely then your diff isnt engaging

Paul:
Jack one front wheel up, with difflock in you won't be able to turn it, with difflock out you will.

paul and sam:
yet again you have been able to sort out our problems thanks again..
