Help old bush removal

<< < (2/2)

snezza69:
OK, got the old bushes out by burning (outside), new poly bushes in fine, small problem now of getting the first radius arm back onto the axle.  For some reason I can't seem to line up the two front bushes correctly they are sitting too far forward.  Tried to lever the axle forward, not shifting!  Tried a bloody big hammer, no luck also.  Am I missing the obvious here?  I know that it fits as it was on there this morning.  I know the first one is the hardest but it should'nt take this long.

Any advice would be great!

i had the same problem with mine, in the end i removed the prop so i could move the axle around (allows the wheels to rotate)

I knew it  would be something simple.  I do need to take the front prop off anyway to replace the input seal in the diff.  Was thinking of trying that as a last resort tomorrow, must be the heat frying my brain today!

Thanks for that advice, it worked a treat.  Job done now but still got plenty to do for the MOT!
