Anti roll bar
andygod:
I’m thinking about removing my rear anti roll bar as it’s bent and of little use at the moment. Should I replace it with a new one or just remove the old one and leave it off. Can anybody please give me the pros and cons of doing so for both on and off road use?
Henry Webster:
Anti roll bars work at what they do, which is to reduce body roll at the cost of a little flexibility in the rough.
I like them, but then I like going fast. :wink: I have one Discovery with and one with out. The one without rolls like anything, but is not unsafe.

Mine still has them fitted. Nuff Sed ;-)
Scared, then didn't Maddy yesterday when I took a corner at 70mph to prove a point to a twonk next to me *in the wrong lane*. NEVER asume the big lumbering 4x4 thing can't handle better than your GTI....sometimes, just sometimes, it can - and it *will* make you look silly ;-)
I retained my CORRECT lane (and the posted limit was de-restricted dual carriagway!) and he had to around *again*.
<chuckle>
P.S. For those that know the "corner" it was Junction 15 of the M1 - that stupid S bend thingy!
Damonski:
if its got one on now, it will fail its next mot without it.
