denviks:
well where do i start. i had a vibration in my disco 200 on the motorway. you can sort of feel it from about 45 ish all the way up. at 70 mph its quite bad. you can feel it through the floor ect but not the steering.  i initialy thought wheel balance so had them done. nope no affect. the vibration is still there. i changed the front uj on the front prop as i found this was very worn with moevement in it. it did make a difference but not a great deal. pux has given me another front prop to try so i will fit that tomorrow morning and give it a go. could it be uj's on the rear prop? the vibration seems to be worse when going up or down hill ....im sort of abit lost now as to what it could be........anyone any ideas?

Budgie:
You could remove the front prop, engauge the centre difflock and take it for a drive. If the vibration has gone then it could be the front prop. If it's still there then put the front prop back on & remove the rear and try again.

denviks:
can you do that at 45 mph/?.... the vibs really come in proper at 50+

Budgie:
No reason why not. I saw a chap on the Belgium National last year who blew a rear diff, removed the diff, propshaft and halfshafts then drove back to the UK like this!

I presumed he greased the bearings though
