200tdi timing belt jump

Range17 - surely you got water in the oil (so dip stick shows oil too high) ran the engine and knackered the oil pump, the pistons and doubtless the turbo. If anything I'd have thought the timing belt would have been most likely to survive!
You may have got water into the injection pump too as it has a breather that can take water and of course mud in.
I think you may have a long and tedious job on there!
Incidentally I'd have thought you'd get an oil pump from any LR dealer/garage but I'd go with your local independent who might also be able to make suggestions of what to tackle.

Well i am slowly stripping it down ,head off next ,i checked the valve clearance and they are all to big so wondering about push rods bent ,i will see when the head off.

sounds very poorly, full rebuild in order if you have got muddy water into the oil.

Dont need to remove the head to check if there bent.

might need to take the head of to get the bent pushrods out though :wink:
