Thanks for the help guys-just been offered 50% worn BFG MT's for £100 but are 225/75x16 and don't know what to do-like the idea of new/remoulds as you know about the wear/abuse they've had but BFG's are tempting.

ChrisW:
225/75's should fit - you may need to trim the rear of the rear arches but nothing too drastic. That size will give you a slightly better clearance under the diff's too.

I,ve got 235/70x16 grizzleys fitted they are noisy as hell.they touch on 3/4 lock. I,m thinking next time get Amazons as they are supposed to be almost as good off road but with respectable road manners and trust me Grizzleys are that good you get stuck more because you feel invincable. You try places you wouldnt go for and end up balanced on the diff .

I wouldn't be buying 50% worn mud terrains - all the lugs will be rounded and the grip will be a LOT less than when new and less tread means less self cleaning
If it was 50% worn road biased tyres then fair enough but ask yourself why they are for sale in the first place
I would be putting the cash towards NEW tyres - can't see the point in fitting muds that will probably have the same capability of your current tyres
That's my opinion anyhoo................................

Well guy's thanks for all your comments and common sense that made me think and i can announce that today-i have purchased a set of 235/70x16 AMAZONS for a cracking price of £150 for 4. So as they say it's showtime or should that be playtime.
