--- Quote from: "muddyjames" ---I hate to throw a spanner in the works here but when you pass your test you can only legally drive vehicles with up to 9 seats (including driver).

Unless you are going to be taking seats out and re registering the landy you will be driving illegally.

That over.

I am well jealous. Look great. Fab car for a 1st car. :D

You can get around this by going through the NFU, our friends son had the same hassle with their S3 109 station wagon.. NFU had no problems with it, and because its not for hireor reward you can get around it!!

I was unser the impression its a licensing issue that makes it illegal to drive more than 9 seater, not an insurance issue so even if NFU is happy with it, it might not be legal!!

Bezza, its nots insurance issue, its license issue, for the first 2 years after passing your test your not allowed to drive a vehicle with more than 8 seats.

muddyjames:
anyone who passes their test fro 1997 onwards cant drive vehicles with more than 9 seats. 8 + driver.

I had this problem as I couldnt drive my voluntary work minibus and had to do the DVLA driving test.

defuzz:
yup, I'm 26 and I'm not allowed to drive with 9 seats cos I passed my test after Jan 1997

its rubbish!!!

muddyjames:
it is rubbish and the towing rules are too but i can understand those a bit more due to the number of idiot towers out there
