Sticker removal

(1/4) > >>

gords:
I have removed a few stickers recently (last year's Belgium ones, ready for this year  ) and quite a lot of the glue was left behind.

What's the best thing to use to get rid of it?

beast5680:
whenever i take off decals i,ve used a kettle of boiling water then peeled them off it melts the glue so you can rub it off with a cloth easily then as well

Nice to see you back on here by the way Gordon :D i take it work is still busy then

barmiebrumie:
Tar & glue remover,

You can get it from most paint factor's & valet/cleaning suppliers,

John.

v8kenny:
Heat the stickers up with a hair dryer and they will peel off easily
A wee rub with some petrol will remove any glue residue - just don't rub too hard

Thanks for the welcome, Neal   On top of the mega work load, we recently moved all of our hosting business onto a new server - jeez, what a job that was

I tried that, but found that the stickers just became extremely soft and stretchy .. and kept breaking :(

I'll try and find some "Tar & Glue remover" ... don't have petrol at our household :)
