CD changer not reading CDs!!
JPJ:
Is there power getting to the unit? When you press the magazine eject button it show light up and when you put the magazine in you can here the unit whirring as it checks for CDs.
The cable from the back of the radio to the unit has a DIN plug type connector near the CD changer, is it connected properly? You can test for 12v here - one of the pins carries 12v to the unit - can't remeber which one but easy to test with using a multi meter with negative against a nice bit of bare metal.
There's also a glass fuse inside the unit. You'll have to take it apart to get to this but is quite easy. Mighht be a good idea anyway to check the operation of the CD changer - its very machanical and you can 'cycle' it through a change by moving the cogs.
I did all of this and brought mine back to life :)
