Cross drilled transfer shaft question

I am almost ready to remove my LT77 and transfer box and fit a ZF auto in my discovery 1, however, If I was going to fit another LT77 I would be going for the cross drilled transfer shaft.  My question is, Does this modified shaft also fit the ZF auto and is it worth considering ? I am planning to keep my disco for a long time !
