Up at 5 o'clock, bed at 11 o'clock 365 days a year, in the wind and the rain and the snow.
No holidays unless you pay loads of money the someone to look after the farm who will do it all wrong and cost you loads more money.
Get the blame for all the numskulls that leave the gate open, and the smell of good heathy manure, get paid rock bottom prices by the big supermarkets
Get hammered by the TAX MAN and then along come BSE just in case you have managed to save a bit of cash to spend on your off roader and the the goverment give you a pitance for burning your good health cattle just because a farm 8 miles down the road had one suspect beast.

Oh yes you have a nice view from you bedroom window (not that you have time to look at it)

nor it is mine and until i went to uni it was what i did so i do know what its like

however there are positives in it too otherwise it wouldnt be worth doing.  

and also that these days unless you get given a farm (inheritance or whatever) then going into farming you are immediately at a loss.

And then you have to sell half of the land to pay the death duties, now I am winding my self up so I am off to the chinese for some nose bag filling.
