How much are 410 transfer boxes going for?
« on: May 27, 2006, 18:10:20 »
My local breaker has got a sj 410 in(prop brake one) and wants £45 for the transfer box, thats me removing it.

Is that a resonable price or a stupid price?

anything else I should get off it whilst I'm there?

Rob.

I believe the rear prop has already been removed, but I'll look around in case its been dumped in the back.

Its a good price. Ive paid more!!!

Make sure its a 410 case tho. Theres a lot of miss matched 410-413's out there.

Ive personally bought 2 cases(definitely from a 410) only to find out they were actually 413......and no bloody good at all for making 4.16 gearsets....!

Hence Ive currently got 7 sets of transfer box cases in me garage!

The only def way to tell is to stick in low box and turn the input shaft, and measure the number of turns on the drive shaft. (ie check its the correct ratio for a 410)

Remember, 413's and 410's all had tranny brakes, and some 413(spanish) had rear axle parking brakes, so you cant tell externally....
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!
