I understand matey, just that everytime i see the union jack etc it stirs up bad memories of past conflicts when trying to show support to your country.
I think the problem is the fact that the union jack is now seen as a symbol of hooligans and "not" a flag of this fine country.
Sorry if i offended anyone "unless your a government official".

once the footie has finished these flags will disappear..

so does that mean the people who have these are only english when the footie is on or are only patriotic when it suits them?

thing is if one comes off on the motorway i would imagine it be quite hazardous as they arent made of quality material are they ?
