yeh, i have got a spare arm, but if/when this one bends then i will more than likely get one of those! but aslong as ive got a standard spares lyeing round i will put them on, doesnt cost me anything then does it!

--- Quote from: "johnniep" ---nah ive seen how much steering guards impair offroad performance! any deepruts and it picks the front up and then you have no traction on the front, i'll stick with seriously bending my first steering arm in 25yrs off offroading and just carry a spare, its 2 bolts and thats it!

i agree, i think theres alot of stuff on the market that you dont really need, extreme drive flanges for instance, how many people acually need them (iam sure some people do) but for the most they are just another way to waste your money.

I used to suffer bent steering arms all the while, try pushing the standard arms through some gas tube, leave the gas tube a couple of inches shorter than the arm (so you can get the clamps on) and just weld the ends up. This idea worked for me i aint bent one since and its a lot cheaper than buying the "proper" reinforced items.
