With the mods to the top seals etc I've mentioned in the series section, wind noise is reduced.  You can/could fit the delux door panels off an S111 County model.  I'm fitting light gauge alli chequer plate to mine, with bubble wrap type loft insulation between panel and door.

Steve ray:
Depending on the interior "trim" - youo may find that the Series door are slightly thinner than the Defender doors and give a little bit more leg room.

Also, I had to replace the window lifting mechanism on mine last weekend, as it'd just rotted away! -cost £15+VAT per side (Craddocks) for new mech and rubber for windows. So sliding windows sound a bonus!
