TD5 PROP WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

<< < (2/2)

burgerman:
Howdy, I have a 1991 v8 disco, 3" lift dislocation cones blahh blahh blahh,
since fitting castor correction front arms ( drives much better) but get a juddering on initial take off, was thinking it was the prop grumbling at the new working angles, but one of those double cardon jobbies is along way out of me budget at the mo, so---- could i fit a td5 one?? and what end do i need to change the flange on ?? many thanks

muddyweb:
The Td5 prop is a cardon jointed shaft, and is likley to be the same sort of money as the after market types.  The flange, or an adaptor plate is fitted at the transfer box end to allow the fitting on the larger joint

colintandy:
:D got to agree it made a hell of a difference in the drive when i changed mine to double cardon

Range Rover Blues:
As well as TD5 some of the Toyatas use them too, this is perhaps where the joint that SR use on their shafts as it bolts directly to your existing T-box flange.  Otherwise get a S/H one.
