Hi All.

I want to lift the beast. But where is the best priced place to go. I phoned mm4x4 today, and for a 2" lift it was £228 inc vat.

That is 4 shocks, 4 springs and turret rings only.

Also £37+vat for the  +2" brake hoses.

Go to www.llama4x4.co.uk for the brake pipes £11 each.
Dont get the BLUE springs. If you look down this bit of the forum you will see what I have done to mine. But it cost a few quid more.

Cheers Paul. Yes i spotted yours the other day. What have you used?

What is wrong with the blue springs? What other colours are there?

I like the Llama hoses. I think ill have coloured ones. :)

I haven't used longer hoses and the rear is at about 3" lift. I've had it at full articulation and it's fine. The front is about 2" lift and again, the hoses didn't need changing. Obviously, it is the full droop position that determines whether you need longer hoses or not. So your choice of dampers is what affects this.

Mine's on Old Man Emu springs and dampers. It is a fairly harsh ride on the road though. Well, I thought it was until I bought a Suzuki SJ!!!

I have Old Man Emu springs with +5 inch Procomp shocks. I have fitter rasied turrets on the front and rasied rear shock mounts from www.gwynlewis4x4.co.uk the rear spring relocateors are from www.whitepeakengineering.com Andy is a member on here. It works well. But cost abit more.

I had a set of the blue springs on a RR and they do not give much. But they are cheep.

Well, ive just ordered a Lift kit from MM4X4. £228. 4 Springs (Blue i think) and four procomp shocks. Cant wait now. Then i can get some new tyres. :)

Well i got the kit the following morning. 1st calss service from MM4x4.

I made a start today. The rears took me about 1.5 hours. It has lifted it by more than 2" aswell. I think the 23 year old springs were a little tired.

What do you think. I need the longer brake hoses now.  Does anyone know if my 1984 will have metric hoses or not??

But it looks good. Look more lifted than mine.

I got the fronts done today. Took about 3 hours. Glad its done now. I think i need the bigger tyres now.

Looks about the same as mine on the front, but higher on the back. But looks ok.

If you are going for bigger rubber, have a look at what transfer box you have. Mine is a 1.4, but with bigger rubber I would need a 1.6.

Before and after.

I have still got the standard size on (235/85/16) but mine is a 3 speed auto with a 1.4 t/box. I am taking it for a power tune in a few weeks to get a bit more out of it.

I have 235 85 16's on too. Mine looks to have lifted more than yours..

Im not bragging. But it seem odd, yours sits alot more level too.

I have to test mine as a class 5 on MOT. The same a s transit vans. What is yours??

Looks nice. Especially those rims. I have been given a set of the old rrc alloys. The three spoked ones. I think i will put them on with the new rubber. If they will fit. :)

Im going for some 33 12.5 16's .

Also, mines a 2.5 diesel with a 5 speed.

I would say the front is the same as your but the back on yours is lifted a lot more. Mine is a standard car mot (class 5) bigger vans and ex-army LR110 are Class 7. You need to check the total gross weight I thing. Some LR 110s are listed wrong. But if its an ex army then its right as the gross weight is higher. Well some thig like that. There was a good thred on a forum about it, I will see if I can find it later.

I am not sure if RR alloys are rated higher enought for a 110.

Half way through lifting on of our 110's, done the back just the front to do but it will probably have to wait til the weekend :(  Then just gotta weld a couple of repairs on the rear cross member then off to see the nice testing station man :shock:

I have a feeling that the 3 spoke rangie alloys wont fit over a drum rear axle.
Not 100% sure, but check before you order new rubber(ooer)
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

Yes i did wonder that. I have seen that there are not many alloys that do. I havnt payed for them, an good freind has given them to me. But i will fit one before i buy the rubber. :)

My OME springs lifted the rear more than the front too. I think they allow for the Station Wagon which might be heavier at the rear than a hard top or pickup. But it hasn't gone anywhere near as high as that  :shock: It does look a bit too high at the rear, don't you think?

Can't find a side on pic of mine, but this is as close as I get:

Make sure you call MM4X4 to check they have everything in stock, 13 days and counting, still not had all of my lift kit yet!

My 110 has blue rears +2 and 90 rears on the front, the rear is a bit too high for my liking so I'll get them done soon so she sits level, I wont be carrying heavy weight in the back so thats why they have them raised.

The rear springs also pop out everytime I go anywhere near a greenlane or 4x4 site, which is a pain. anyway MM4x4 top marks, the RR kit I fitted was spot on, that was 2+ they were also cheaper than most people, i think I found one supplier cheaper but as they are so helpful and great with other orders in the past, they earnt that business easily....

How did you fit the rr springs on the back. I though all 110's had 7" rear springs??

Isn't it just the commercials that had the 7" springs. I think SW's were different. Might stand to be corrected though!
