Breathers?
Robbo:
Hi Can anyone help out there?
Daisy is a standard 2.25 petrol with an oil filled air filter etc, how do I go about fitting a snorkel - just incase the fords are a little deeper than expected, and indeed I haven't walked and prodded them first?
And is it only a snorkel needed? I have already fitted a latex glove over Daisy's point and leads - thats works well!
Andy the Landy:
One of the easiest ways to fit a snorkle would be to replace to oil bath filter with a filter box from a 90. The piping and bits can be bought from B&Q for about 30 quid to run from the wing and up the screen - much better than paying 100's for a branded make :D . I'm sure Miniman will be along soon to give a bit more advice
Robbo:
hmm..this sounds like fun , but more importantly feasible!
ukmudmaster:
Have alook at " Wading Kit for 2 axles, Land Rover Series/Def/Disco" on Ebay" if you intend to wade in a Series, you really ought to get rid of the useless standard axle breathers. £20 inc p&p for Mud-Club members. The snorkel with a 90 filter assembly is probably best, then you just need some water to play in!
