Lucky escape - theiving scum
freeagent:
i've got one of those disc-loc things that covers the whole steering wheel, cost me £100, but they are supposed to be one of the b est out there, and i get to sleep a little easier at night.
got and alarm and decent imobiliser aswell though...
WishIhadaLandy:
i didn't think i'd have to worry about anuthimng like that coz i live out in the sticks (a bit) but apparently a "cat burgular" got nabbed (a few months ago) just down the road from us with enough metal work to start a small war on him. Makes you think doesn't it!
Daisy:
Hi All
Please don't think living in the sticks will prevent the b*****s, we live vry much in the sticks and had our caravan stolen off the drive the early hours of Thursday before Easter fully loaded ready to go away that morning. The thieves have no scruples.

spy:
They have no fear because the worst scenario is a slapped wrist. They make me sick, I would love 10 minutes in a room with them.
Will be like a fortress by the time its back on the road!
tiltboy:
Really sorry to hear about your recent troubles. These people should be publically flogged!
Can I suggest a Snap Off steering wheel? I fitted one recently and haven't looked back. My Defender 90 is a soft top and therefore very vulnerable to theft/idiots. Alarms don't work that well on Landy soft tops (a bit flappy!) so the only option was stop them driving it.
Removing the wheel seemed the best prevention and deterent method available. To add to this I bought the entire thing (wheel, locking mech and boss) from Ebay for under £50 delivered!
If they can't drive it, they can't steal it! Well, combined with a Jetlock any way!
