Now that's one hell of a project!!!

could have always been a film prop u never know

Horness:
They look like exit holes to me.  Small hole in, big hole out.  Car's are pretty soft skinned, all full-bore rifles will go straight through door skins etc., even some rimfires.  Full metal jacket stuff will go through the engine block and still kill anything in it's way.

Big project.  If it is straight through, then you're talking seats, floor pan, dash, electronics and lots more to put it right.  Notice the glass is also shot out.

Dunno about that as the metal around the holes is pushed in rather than out, as it would be if it were from an exiting bullet, but like you said

so if those are entry holes, i'd hate to see the exit holes on the other side

I was guessing that they'd use an angle grinder (or similar) to "tidy" up the holes.  If not, then like you said, it's a big round, possibly from one of these.     It's hard to say with a small "straight on" photo.

having a god luck at the pic the shooter was stood behind the disco to the near side as they entry holes are rectangler from the rear to the front so the rounds that went in the door are probley embedded in the engine block. and going off the patten it was a solid round not a ball bering round as there is no splatter of the shot. and measuring the hole show the round to be of around 20-25 mm. thinking along the lines of bradley apc gun. (spent to long in the army for my own good)
