setting swivel pin bearings

RRB i just tried weighting a bag of bolts then rigging up a pulley, i think i need some more shims as i have put new swivel bearings in, hopefully someone at work will have a spring balance i can borrow

Make sure of the weight as adding more shims will loosen the swivel, take them out to tighten it!  :wink:

cheers budgie, i have stuck new bearings in so thats why it probably needs more shims to loosen it, im ogoing to get hold of a spring balance anyway and do it properly, i found out the my metal brake pipes need replacing now, when will this ever end.

i now have a spring balance in my hand, although in this weather id rather it was a pint of beer
