--- Quote from: "smo" --- Just rang 2 main dealers to enquire about getting my 90 its first proper service since i bought it....

"£345 for a 12K service, but really it needs a 24K service because its coming up to 2 yrs old and thats £545"

Good god - i nearly died, so i asked what they did to warrant so much money, well the 12k is an oil and filter change, and the extra £200 for the 24K, well for that princely sum you get gearbox, transfer box and possibly axel oil changed and of course new sealing washers for the plugs removed during the change, and if needed brake fluid too.

What a pigging rip off - i need dealer stamps cos of the waranty (dont i?) but i'm not paying someone half a grand for changing my oil!

hi there,i work for an independant specialist up here & aslong as gen filters or equivilent are used & the work is carried out to the munufactureres recomendation then your warrenty still stands

smo:
Good news then :)

All i need is a specialist using genuine parts who doesnt want silly money for what is esentially an oil change and stamp in the book! :p
