Hello people
Can anyone tell me the difference between a zf4hp22 and a zf4hp22eh ie  are they ineterchangeable and does the eh have any electronic wizardry lying within . :?  :?

DEANO3528:
Yeah you're right, the EH has the ecu. I don't think you can swap them as the ecu will be looking for a signal.

zepesh:
Thanks Deano
Do you know if you can put an early P38 4.6 torque converter to a 22 gearbox
cheers
Zepesh

Tigger:
What are you trying to fit to what ?

You can fit an HP22 to a 4.6 / 4.0, you need the torque converter from something like a Defender 50th, and Disco 2 (I think)

zepesh:
Hi guys
 I intend to fit a 350 chevy to a 110 with an auto box , easy !
lro magazine tells me a zf 4 speed from a classic range rover is the way to go with fully synthetic oil and an oil cooler.
ashcroft transmissions say there are three torque converters fitted to zf boxes with the largest diameter (and I presume the strongest ) coming from an early p38 4,6
What do you think?
Zepesh
ps Really want to avoid anything with sensors or electronics of any kind
