case 1
Starter motor on 110. It would either make a dull 'clunk' noise and then nothing, or whirr pointlessly, or start the car (had to do the other 2 at least twice before starting). One day the whirring started and wouldnt stop even with the ignition off. I jump out grab wood and give the starter an almighty whack. It has never whirred or clunked since instead it starts the motor every time.

Case 2
Who needs a splitter to get the track rod off. Use wood and a spanner. Worked a treat.

Case 3
Cant get a bolt through. No problem, lever it through with bit of wood.

Case 4
Annoying teenagers hanging around. Pick up wood and they wonder away

As this is an extra special piece of 2 x 1 (about 3ft long) any M/C members are free to use it but it will have to be outside my house as I am not letting it out of my sight :P

I've got a magic piece of plastic - whenever I need bits or toys for my Landies I just shout numbers printed on the plastic down the phone and 2/3 days later the bits appear on my doorstep ! :lol:
