110 lift.

Sharpshooter:
Hi all. I have a 1984 110, and i want to fit a 2" lift to it. I have looked at a couple of kits availiable, but am unsure what to go with. Does anyone have one fitted to theirs, and what are the pros and cons for each. MM4x4 are doing the complete kit with De Carbon shocks for £400 ish. This has the cones, and brake pipes etc. Are they any good?

Also, it has 7" rear springs. Are all 11o's like this or just commercial, as it is.

Thanks for any advice. :) Wayne.

All 110 have the bigger springs on the back. I am going for a 2 inch life on my 110 soon. I am looking at putting Old Man Emu springs on as I know these are good, but not cheep. I am also going for ProComp shocks and Dis lockers that are fixed to the axel at the bottom of the spring and not at the top. Break lines from www.llama4x4.co.uk

I had a +2" on my 110 with no problems at all .
llama4x4 are really helpfull for brake lines.
Worth shopping around a bit for kit.
Ring MM4x4 as most of their kits are for normal spring sizes.
I have 110 H/D spec but standard size rears on my rangie.
why do you want to lift it.
If the standard kit is ok then maybe blocks could be a cheaper route !
I have a set of 110 rears available and also a pair of standard fronts ?

I work in an engineering shop, so making spacers is not a problem, but i want to do it properly. I want to lift it, so i can get more clearence for my new 33 inch tyres. Also, it makes it bigger. :)

paul_humphreys:
33`s will fit without a lift. I was think of going for 35`s but untill I can get a bit more power out of the tdi (mines an auto) I will stick with the 235x85x16 (about 32.5). I will do all the rest and then go for bigger rubber. I need new springs anyway.
