What info can you tell me about this vehicle fron the photos

Miniman:
Its not that bad to say its a 1968.... I have seen alot worse... Go back in my photos and take a look at the 109 pickup now that one is rotten thats why the scrappy is getting it next week...he he

Rich_P:
It has the wrong bulkhead for 1968, and the wrong front end.  The Series 3 didn't begin production until 1972, so it should be a Series 2A with the lights in the wings (but no hole in the wing for heater intake) and metal mesh grill.

The bulkhead also should be a 2A bulkhead, rather than a Series 3 plastic type bulkhead.

If it is a genuine 1968 vehicle, then it is going to be a fairly early Series 2A 2.6, as they began production around 1967/1968.  Unfortunately I also have a gut feeling that this is actually a later vehicle that had the V5 and chassis number put onto it from an earlier vehicle.

Miniman, do you know if it has syncro on 1st and 2nd?  It's going to be fairly awkward to distinguish whether or not it is a Series 2A with a Series 3 front end on, or a Series 3 trying to be a Series 2A.

Miniman:
Its on the document as a 1968  6 cylinder  109. The engine has been chaged for a recon 2.25D and the box is a later type box not a 2a box.

Rich_P:
Ooops.  Didn't notice that.  Nothing on it stands out to me as 2/2A era.  I think it may be safe to say that it is a Series 3 trying to pose as a 2A.

Miniman:
What about the large side sills and the rear number plate light. Also the dash could have been change could it not.....and the front grill and wings......HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPP dont tell me this.....arrrrrrrrrr..
