getting fed up now am i

Well got the rr though the mot and hitch up the caravan and away to welshpool for the weekend got to camp site ok. car running great. Then saturday went for a drive around on saturday and on the way back to the camp site at about 3 pm the f******g waterpump packs up. So now easter weekend got a perkins engine and no waterpump :cry: . So after limping back the the site and getting the inlaws to drive me to a local farm hardware shop. Now about 4.15pm. they cant help but know someone who can. So with phone number in hand back to campsite to take off pump and pray. Rang the number and was told to bring the pump to him. So after drawing a map to the garage and heading off into the middle of nowhere. i find this garage and a nice old man (he was about 80). He looked at the pump and said no worries i will ring you sunday when it is done. So back to the camp site eith nothing to do now except play golf and drink beer till 3pm sunday when he rung me to say job do. so off i went to collect it one waterpump and only £25 lighter in pocket he says it may get you home as he could not get the correct berrings for it so had to bodge it. Any way half way home today and the flippen thing goes agin  :cry: . So me not happy and fed up that i cant get off the shelf parts for it. So rr is now parked out side house and i have put a poll up to see what i should do about it. dont want to get rid of the rr as the body chassic and running gear from the front of the gearbox back is great . Its just the engine that lets me down

Theres a good Perkins place in Shrewsbury. I will see if I can dig out the number later. But is the 3L Perkins the same as the Mazda 3L?

I have been told that it is a mazda/perkins engine just after mazda took over perkins. As it has a few mazda things on it like glowplugs not a wire in the inlet manafold. And cheers if you can dig the number out. :D
