New axle bracket

(1/2) > >>

clbarclay:
Having fitted a spring lift to my RRC i've descovered that the off side spring brakets on the rear axle is not much more than rust. For the short term ive welded the lower spring seat to what remains of the brakets, but a new braket will be needed before to long. This leaves me with three options:

1 make a new bracket. Has anybody done this? if so do you have accurate dimensions for origional that i may use.

2 are replacement brackets avalible to weld on? if so then please let me know where

3 second hand parts in good order. Not my first choice as the rest of the axle is good/reasonable and i've got the ware with all to do the other options.

Greybeard:
Hi , do you mean the mount on the axle that the spring seat bolts thru , or the spring seat itself or the plate that holds the spring to the seat ??
Steve

clbarclay:
The bracket (mount depends what you call it) with the 2 captive bolts attached that is welded to the axle.

Have checked the Cd but there is no mention of a part number for that bit. I think you'll have to fab something.

Chris

ps: they don't show a part number for axle damper brackets, but I got two from Scorpion. Give them a ring to see if they have them (or any other good LR dealer.
