Breather Extension

May I just chip in and mention that on a 200/300 TDI there is a breather on the boost pump and that too needs a pipe fitting to a saucepan shaped rubber boot just under a pipe.

In had a lot of trouble after water/muck got into the boost pump and hadn't realised there was any sort of breather round there.

--- Quote from: "littlepow" ---The rear axle only goes into the drivers side rear wheel arch. The pipe is fed along the axle to the trailing arm, then up this to the chasis.
At present mine goes up the back of the car as the breather wasn't long enough to reach the front. Need to get that changed soon.

Are you positive? I'm pretty sure on my TD5 it terminates in passenger wheel arch?? The drivers side is full of filler tank gubbins and fuel filter and lines.

With these vehicles nothing is written in stone

Rather than up the snorkel I ran them into the back of the dash through a gromet and siliconed them into position. If they get water in now I will be swimming.

Just another option.
