zacjake:
Can anybody suggest a good mig welder to purchase? For home use.
Thanks

When I was buying one I was told to go for a sip 130 turbo, however I'm having trouble with controlling the wire feed mechanism, It seems a bit flimsy to me, but then again, perhaps they're all like that

zacjake:
Cheers.
What is the difference between the gas and gasless migs.Other than the gas bottle.
Thanks

extreme90:
get gas, its alot cheaper in the long run, wire wise

a gasless mig requires a flux wire to form a barrier around the weld, this means when you come to replace the wire it costs 45 pound for a kilogram roll

cheaper to get the gas welder as a 5 kilo roll is only 15 ish pounds

Bought a Snap-on Gas mig welder.... its a brilliant welder, albeit a bit expensive being snap-on... Its the only snap-on thing i ever bought, but its dead good!
