generation-x:
nero wot su did u use and how did u fit the snorkle to the su outlet?

simon

nero161:
the su is a hiff 44 and it fits to the snorkle via tha bracket that came with the k&n off the 1275 mini. and a bit of the flexi from the orignal air filter set up. i will take a close up of it and put it in my folder. 5 min

generation-x:
hi nero
so just to confirm it has 2 bolts that holds on the outlet pipe?
dose the new outlet have the are ways milled into it?

simon

nero161:
yes only 2 bolts holding it on.
there are no other holes apart from the 2 holes for the bolts.
will put a close up of that part in folder for you

had a problem with the blue sealer on the bottom cover getting into the jet but sussed it out and goes like a dream again.

I am new to this site , and so far it has provided a wealth of information.
However I have a question. Some background, I have a SJ410 with a Holden Barina G13A 1326cc with an hif44 su carb on it.
First, What needle did you use in your Su carb?
Second, did you plumb in a new fitting for the vacuum advance line on the carb side of the butterfly valve. or did you just use the fitting that was there on the manifold side. or did you block off the fitting and the vacuum advance line.
I am unsure what to do . If you know of some one through this site that can help please let me know. I am from New Zealand so a phone call would be expensive.
Thanks
