7 HOURS  my god man i can change a V8 in 6
what was wrong :o
--- End quote ---

Everything, bottom hinge bolt had rounded, so tried to drill it out - didnt work
hammer and chisel - didnt work
swearing at it - didnt work, but made me feel better
so in the end i resorted to angle gringer and cold chisel combo...
then when i had removed it from the 90, spent 3/4 of an hour trying to get the bloody thing to shut on the series..ended up cutting a lot of excess rubber from the door seal, and moving hinges all over the place!!

hobbit:
Fitting door AND seal, not asking for much are you

No problem. may take a pic in a bit of the work so far. Just striping the old paint off at the moment

--- Quote ---I will save my money on the outcome for now. Also what do you hope to achieve by putting a fan in the bonnet and will it pass an mot with the fan on there? Just thinking about if you hit a padestrian / hiker they fall onto the fan and loose bits of body  :D  :(  :?

The engine (V8 Efi) runs a little too hot when slow moving for the wifes likeing (the temp in the engine bay also gets very hot, screwed one starter motor already). I have order one of X-engs temp switch to run the fan. If the water  gets to over about 90 degrees the fan will switch on automaticaly. The cowling will stop fingers n such getting at the fan :P

Range Rover Blues:
If the water pump is leaking then DON'T put anti-freeze in it 'till it's fixed.  The lower surface tension (sorry to get technical) will result in a faster leak that then causes fater wear in the metalic seal on the pump-shaft.  In effect it will pack up in double-quick time.
