not true, they just have a tendancy to run to the otherside of the channel before they make it.
Range Rover Blues:
RRR worked out there years ago, not sure she'd know about the tax and that though.

It was a work experience placement through college - sorry, I can't help with practicalities. I did have the time of my live over there, though.
One thing I did find was that it is NOT TRUE that men kiss each other in greeting - my experience was always that it was a handshake. Women/men and two women either kiss on both cheeks (the custom is that this is repeated if one person is from Paris) or shake hands - I normally let the other person take the lead on this one!
As with anywhere, French individuals were great, and I was really well treated. Many people I was working with invited me to their homes for meals, as their culture is centred around the table. Even a simple meal really does consist of four or five courses.
I hope it all goes well and that you have a whale of a time over there, as well.
Edge:
Thanks for that :D I hope my app is accepted and i get the interview, be nice to explore another country and compare it against the UK. I'll keep you all informed on the outcome.
Tailendcharley:
:) :) I own a cottage over there so therefore spend a lot of time in the Country...I can assure you that France is a wonderful country and the French people are marvellous...my best regards to you and go for it...you won't live to regret it...
Back to my corner..........
