HELP electrics

can anyone give me some pointers before I push the 90 into the canal :(
can to leave work this evening and there's nothing when you turn the key, battery seems fine and i've got voltage to the starter motor but nothing works, no hazards, lights, horn, HELP

Have you checked the fuse box on the engine bay.The one on the bulkhead above where the passengers righ foot would be.Well there is on a 300Tdi :roll:
I don't have my books to hand but I think there should be four fuses in there.

oops,
well it's basicaly 1990 TD but with a 200tdi engine. so I haven't got fuses in the engine bay. but yep I've checked the ones I've got

When you say you have voltage to the starter motor, do you mean the main cable or the single white/red wire that terminates with a push on plug?
If there is nothing on any ignition position, it could be that the main feed to the ignition switch has become detached. I think that's the thicker brown cable behind the dash.
I would remove the dash binnacle, but be a little cautious in case a wire has become detached from the ignition switch, as it may be in a position to make earth contact, probably a good idea to temporarily disconnect the earth from the battery.
I'm on my 3rd ignition switch now, so it may even be that.

i had the same problem with mine its the egnition barrel all you have to do is to get a new back bit of the barrel its not where the key goes in its the elctrial bit they dont cost much to by and its a 2 minit job dust write down and take a pick where the wires go :oops:
