Fuel gauge

bezzabsa:
read somewhere that if it doesnt read right its a bad earth.. well mine only reads 3/4 even when peeing out of the overflow, so is it the earth on top of the tank or the earth on the gauge?

Singlefin:
Just for the sake of comparison, mine over reads - when I fill up, the needle disappears off moonwards, and when it points to about 1/8 - 1/4 full, I can expect to start having to push. Now *that's* a pain.  :?

hobbit:
Mine reads some in, but never know where, when I fill it up its reading empty afterwards, later it will settle, but now I just watch the mileage and check the tank now and again, mainly knocking qround locally so not too bad, but always check before leaving on a run out of town, only got 1 ten gallon tank to play with

smog:
