Puffing blue smoke

Mace:
Maybe there is a worn valve guide seal but the head was brand new around 5k miles ago. I also would have thought it would drip oil into the chamber when sat still or idling for a while. In both case it doesn't then produce blue smoke.

Are there any breathers that might be blocked or clogged with oil that vent into the inlet side?

It's also funny that it doesn't matter how much grief I give it at road speeds, it doesn't smoke.

Range Rover Blues:
It's probably a small puddle od oil somewhere that runs into the engine on the incline, unless of course there is a breather somewhere that is closer to the oil spray than usual on the incline.  If it doesn't drink oil I'd leave well alone.
