egr blanking plate

I know that theres been a post previously about these egr things

but wat exactly is it and wat does it do ?

ebay seems to have several blanking plate kits for sale and was wondering if it was good idea to get one?

of late my disco has been bit of a money pit so trying to keep it on the road is bad enough without buying my mods :(

This is probably the cheapest mod available!


Your engine has a Exhaust Gas Recirculation unit attached to the side, which at low revs opens up and allows the hot exhaust gas back into the inlet - blah blah blah* - block the inlet with a plate and you will improve low end performance.




* I could go on for ages about why this is a good/bad thing, use the search at the top for EGR and have a read through a few of the topics, let me know if you can't work it out  :wink:
