I have sent a PM regarding the Roof Rack, quite keen if I can work out a way of getting it sensibly from you to me.

No PM received !

I used to off-road a 38a, but have since sold it to make way for the Disco ...

It was fitted with the wheel arch protectors that you speak of, along with the standard L-R bullbar. It ran on 245/70-16 BFG A/Ts on 7x16 Disco 2 rims (the largest tyre size that will fit into the spare wheel well without the aid of a sledge hammer!).

The only other thing I did was to remove the bottom of the spoiler and foglights when off-roading ...

Below is a piccy of the car emerging from the underbelly wash at Billing.

some pics of the maddison 4x4 Bobed P38 steady hand makes light work

--- Quote ---i've often wondered why that model of RR was called the P38.

Some one out there wish to enlighten me?

--- Quote ---P38A was the internal project name at LR, simple as that  L322 is latest RR.

Some harsh people have said that P38 was used as it was just a 'filler' until they could produce a proper RR  - I just ignore them

P38a is incorrect...

It should only be called 38A or Pegasus....

Pegasus was the official project name....

38A was the buidling that the Range Rover was designed/first built in at Solihull - and was adopted as the unofficial project name.

It was never officially known as the P38A - as this is just giving it two names
