21watt side lights

<< < (4/4)

Bush Tucker Man:
I'm thankful my 110 has 'Dim-Dip' (as did the 90 & other 110)

I missed it on the Discovery, that just had the silly level adjuster, but I use it on the Mondeo & Fabia when it's not dark enough for dipped-headlights;
Just turn them onto the lowest adjustment, plenty of non-dazzling light output (& back to normal position when it gets dark)

Jim-Willy:
I must be odd....... :?

I drive around without any lights until i can't see properly then i put my Headlights on...................

smog:
I have 20w side lights and they don't melt my lenses, it's maybe because i have military glass lenses :lol:

They are bright but as has already been said are great for laning and other such things where dipped lights are too much.

See no point in arguing about if they are good bad or indifferent if it melts the lense you buy a new one, if it blows a fuse you get a new one only costs anything to the owner that does it.

Have fun :twisted:

& im telling you it does, fed up of changing them at work due to folk assuming that it will be ok & then coming in a week later with the lenses melted to fa

I've also had 21W sidelight bulbs in for the last 4 or 5 years and none of the lenses (which are the cheapest plastic ones) have melted yet! (though i've smashed a few of them  :lol: )
They are great for that inevitable time (on a series LR it happens!) when your headlights break!

Tigger:
Is it legal to run 21W sidelights ?

I thought they were specified as 5W  :?
