Manicminer:
Since you enjoyed being lowered into Gaping Gill then maybe something like this would suit

Bush Tucker Man:
Sounds good, but it's only 120foot

Head up towards wrexham then take the ruthin road and headup to worlds end lovely little road and it runs all the way to langollan.

Bush Tucker Man:
We got a bit lost on the way there
We, & our passenger, had conflicting print-outs, me from AA site & Karen from RAC.
So on the leaving the M56 at jct 10 & heading towards Tarporley, the instructions were 'at odds' with each other.
Still we found it, after 2 3/4hours (including a stop-over at Birch Services (M62 between jcts 19 & 18)

Some nice villages along the A49, with plenty of thatched roofs, no boats came along, so I didn't get the opportunity to stop at that swing-bridge at Acton Bridge

Damn long drive from the main gates up to the hotel, must've been 3/4mile (arrived at 11:30)

So parked the car by reception & 'Bell-Boys' came out for the luggage (never had that happen before)

SWMBO & Karen shot off to their first Spa treatment, I was left mulling around as my first 'jolly' wasn't until 14:00 (room keys not allocated until 14:00, so couldn't even go there)
Had a saunter around, shook my head at all the people hitting little white balls with sticks.
Found the Activity centre, with a '55' plated 110CSW parked outside.
Mmmm :? , could I swap one of my planned activities for a play in a 110?

So ever so sadly I gave up archery for a drive on a (alledgedly) LR factory designed course in the Td5.
It wasn't too extreme, certainly not a Challenge location, but enough to as we were told scare a lot of people.
Unfortunately the instructor was adamanant on low-1st use only :?
It felt completely alien to be screaming up slopes.I went for a gear-change & got an "Oi!!"
I must admit given how slippery it was (& the axle-travel involved) how well the standard Grabber tyres, & in places no diff-lock, performed.

Then it was off in a mini-coach for a 25minute drive to where we were Clay-Pigeoning
Quite surprisingly we (only 3 of us) got 2 boxes of 25 cartidges each    & a 12bore
It was the first time I'd ever used any form of gun & I was ............................
hopeless
I think I hit about 10 of the 50, still it was an experience

Dinner was okay, but a bit 'fancy', all these 'drizzles' & 'Jus' on the menu.

Breakfast this morning was better.
Help yourself & go back if you want  :D

On the way back along the A49 we passed absolutely loads of classics, ranging from Austin Maxis, E-Types to Mustangs. there was certainly something happening in that part of Chester
There were also a load of MG's parked at a pub at Hampton Heath

Oh, 1 & 3/4hours home door-to-door
(A49, A556, M6 & M62)
