Sticky handbrake
V8MoneyPit:
The handbrake has started sticking on recently. Has normally released with a bang as I pull away. But yesterday it stuck on solid at a petrol station  Out with the standard LR issue hammer and all was well  But it is habbit to pull the handbrake on at traffic lights though..... more self consious hammering
I adjusted it up a couple of weeks ago and I wonder if it is a bit over adjsuted and binding. The heat might be drying the grease out in the expander, maybe? I'll have a look tonight. I've had this before after wading, so it might be water got in there too and rusted it a bit.
The worst bit was that I had taken the cubby box out to get in from the top and promptly run over it :x You know when it is just 'one of those days'!!!
hobbit:
Leave it dry, grease only attracts the muck and mud, clean off & spray with wd40/duck oil, and fit it that way not so much for it to clog up

Good advice :D
V8MoneyPit:
Thanks. I'm taking it apart this evening, so I'll do as you suggest.
