Sheddy:
I read that lot, including all links.  They surely are a clever bunch.

cheviot:
you'r right the wooly sock lot are really well informed .......but if you look closely at the photo they've got on that link you will see that this damage is'nt done by vehicles ie 4x4 the tracks are to narrow and not the normal tram lines....so not that well informed.....plonkers.

Colin 009:
Its nice to see they cant allways get what they want, http://www.ramblers.org.uk/news/2006/vixentor.html

Neil Jones:
They do make some good cases, but, for the majority of byways this isn't relevant.

As for the photo, it says its a bridleway, so correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean people shouldn't be driving it anyway.  So, could thisbe a result of a farmer?  Or, is it just illegal off-roaders, which aren't going to be stopped anyway.

Then there was the comment from LROI about wading.  Is there no way that the comment was about an offroad course or a ford?

They really do get on my nerves, they'll want a ban on offroad courses next, then they'll turn into outright Anti's.
